Ultralight BFS baitcasting reel for extremely light lures

The 22 Aldebaran BFS is an ultralight baitcasting reel, developed for baitfinesse fishing with very light lures. The reel is designed for maximum control with minimal weights and is emphatically not an all-round or power reel.

The ultralight spool and the FTB braking system ensure low starting resistance and predictable casting behavior, allowing stable and controlled fishing even with 2–7 grams – where traditional baitcasters would fail.

What is the Aldebaran BFS intended for?

The Aldebaran BFS is developed for finesse predatory fishing with very light lures. In European conditions, it performs best when targeting perch, trout, and light zander, both from shore and from a boat.

Suitable for:

• Small hardbaits (crankbaits, minnows)

• Finesse softbaits on light jig heads

• Ned rigs and small creature baits

• Precision work under obstacles

• Technical and targeted casting at short to medium distances

• Not intended for medium to heavy lures or fishing with high resistance.

• Also not suitable for continuous fishing above ±10–12 grams.

Feel & control

The Aldebaran BFS excels in start control. The spool starts extremely easily, ensuring controlled and smooth casts with 3–7 grams. The reel feels direct, light, and tight, with a clear "mechanical" feel that provides a lot of feedback.

This is a reel that rewards technique. Inaccurate casting or fishing too heavy will not be corrected, but immediately noticeable.
